When Everything Feels Equally Urgent
A simple method for choosing what to do when every task feels equally urgent.

Urgent is a feeling and a fact
When every task looks equally important, stop ranking the whole list. Look only for external consequences. What has a real deadline today? What affects another person? What becomes harder or more expensive if it waits?
Circle no more than three items. Then choose the first physical action for one of them: open the form, put the parcel by the door, or write the first two lines.
Everything else goes on a later list. You are not declaring it unimportant. You are giving your attention somewhere specific enough to be useful.
