Planning for Low-Energy Days

A practical way to make a smaller, kinder plan when your available energy is limited.

Plan for the energy that is actually here

A low-energy plan is not a failed version of an ambitious one. It is a different operating mode. Begin by reducing the number of decisions.

Choose one task that protects tomorrow, one task that keeps the day moving, and one thing that helps you recover. Everything else is optional.

Use a three-level list

  • Must happen: genuinely time-sensitive or essential.
  • Helps later: a small action that reduces future friction.
  • Nice if possible: useful, but safe to leave.

Stop when the useful minimum is done. Saving energy can be part of the plan.
